"Festivals are the thing", Says Public Enemy's Chuck D
We’re pretty pleased to have announced Public Enemy as our final headliner and they’re pretty pleased about playing by the sound of things. Speaking to 6music he said:
We’re the first hip hop group that ever did festivals we liked being able to present ourselves to the rest of the music genre world. Now that festivals seem to be the thing, why stop our pattern?
Speaking about how it exposes bands to people who aren’t necessarily familiar with them he says:
They make the stage a proving ground for people who didn’t really come to see you.
